I started with the Rubik's Cube in summer 2007. The Rubik's Revenge and Professor Cube quickly followed. By that point, I was hooked. I've been collecting twisty puzzles ever since. My favorites are cuboids and their cousins - super cubes, bandaged cubes, circle cubes, etc. Outside of cuboids, I usually go for puzzles that have unique solving experiences - no shape modes or sticker variants.

3X3X3

25th aniversary cube Puzzle made for the 25th anniversary of the cube. Good for speedcubing after lubricating.
All-In-One Bandaged Cube The mass produced brother of the Ultimate Bandaged 3x3x3. This version uses flat tiles instead of Lego bricks.
Crazy 2-Face An extension of the series of Crazy 3x3x3 Plus Cubes.

Rubik's Mirror Blocks (aka Bump-Cube) Invented by Hidetoshi Takeji, Mirror Blocks is a simple 3x3 Rubik's cube, but with an interesting twist.

Void Cube A 3x3x3 with a hole through the center.

4X4X4

Crazy 4x4x4 III The third 4x4x4 with circles on all six sides. The circles are larger as in the first two variants.
Rubik's Revenge 2000 Edition.
Super 4x4x4 A sticker variant of the 4x4x4. Compared with the traditional stickering scheme the face pieces are distinguishable.

The AI Cube One of the two bandaged 4x4x4 with the highest possible degree of symmetry.
Wall Cube (Burr Cube) A bandaged 4x4x4 variation that looks like a brick wall.

Rubik's 5x5x5 2002 Rubiks.com edition.
Super 5x5x5 The 5x5x5 super group cube. Unlike the standard 5x5x5, each of the nine center cubies on each face has only one solved position and one solved orientation.

6X6X6 & UP

V-CUBE 6 The first mass produced 6x6x6. A six layered cube.
V-CUBE 7 The first 7x7x7. A seven layered cube.

CUBE (SHAPE PRESERVING)

3x3x3 Circle Cube The crazy version of the 3x3x3.
3x3x3 Mixup Plus Cube A mass produced Mixup Cube. Part of a series of four similar puzzles. Compared with the "traditional" Mixup Cube this one has twice the pieces in each ring.
Cubic 3x3x5 A 3x3x5 in shape of a hexahedron. This allows some moves a true 3x3x5 cuboid would not allow.

Cubic 3x3x7 Mass produced cubic 3x3x7.
Curvy Copter A variation on the Helicopter Cube that uses curved cuts to reveal the otherwise hidden centerpieces.
Dinosaur Rubik's Cube - 6 Colour (aka: Dino Cube) The most basic cornerturning hexahedron. This version has six colours.

Helicopter Cube (aka Bevel Cube) An edge turning hexahedron.
Master Skewb An incredible creation by Katsuhiko Okamoto. A very rare puzzle for many years it became mass produced in 2011.
Mosaic Cube Mefferts renamed version of the Fadi cube

Rex cube A cornerturning hexahedron. Very similar to the MasterSkewb but without its corners.
Skewb (aka: Pyraminx Cube) The skewb is a very solid and satisfying puzzle to play with.

CUBE (SHAPE CHANGING)

Axiscube A 3x3x3 with the cutting planes rotated by 60°.
Caution Cube aka Gear Cube A Rubik’s Cube with edges that turn by gears.
Corner Pocket A bandaged 3x3x3 in disguise.

Cubic 4x4x5 II An 4x4x4 of Eastsheen modified into a cuboid which could have been a bandaged 6x6x6 as well. It does NOT change its shape.
Curvy Copter Plus A Curvy Copter with split up X-pieces

OctoCube A face-turning cube, capable of 45 degree turns in some circumstances.
Square-1 The 1994 Irwin Toys version.

Square-2 A modified Square-1 where the corners are split into two pieces
WitEden Super 3x3x5 A cuboid out of a series of cubes that behave like a bandaged 9x9x9. There are two different subversions with regards to functionality.

CUBOID

2 Layer Super Square 1 A super Square-1 reduced to 2 layers.
2x2x3 (aka: Slim Tower) A formerly custom now mass produced 2x2x3 cuboid, commonly known as the "Slim Tower"
2x2x3 Camouflage Type I A 4x4x4 in camouflage. In this case it pretends to be a 2x2x3.

2x3x3 Custom made 2x3x3 cuboid, invented by Tony Fisher.
2x3x3 Camouflage A 4x4x4 in camouflage. In this case it pretends to be a 2x3x3.
2x3x4 (shape-changing) Yet another Tony Fisher masterpiece. The first fully functional irregular cuboid ever.

3x3x3 Camouflage A 4x4x4 in camouflage. In this case it pretends to be a 3x3x3.
3x3x4 (cube4You) Not the first fully functional 3x3x4 but the first mass produced.
3x4x5 The long awaited bigger brother of the 2x3x4.

4x4x5 The first mass produced 4x4x5.
4x4x6 A fully functional and fully proportional 4x4x6 made from a 4x4x4.
4x5x5 The first mass produced 4x5x5.

Crazy 2x3x3 A 3x3x4 with two layers removed but not hidden.
Rubik's Tower (2x2x4 Cuboid) A mass produced 2x2x4 cuboid.
Scramble (Super Floppy) Cube An enhanced version of the Floppy Cube from the same inventor. A floppy cube where you can turn the faces 90 degrees.

Split 2x3x3 A mass produced 2x3x3 with the edges cut in half.
SQ224 A 4x4x4 in camouflage. In this case it has an extra twist.

OCTAHEDRON

Face-Turning Octahedron The first face turning octahedron with straight cuts.
Trajber's 4x4x4 A 4x4x4 transformed into octahedral shape.
Trajber's Octahedron Of this 3x3x3-variant only few examples were produced and sold in the eighties.


HEXAGONAL PRISM

Hexoid A hexagonal prism with three layers and deeper cuts. Compared with the traditional variant it has two additional types of pieces.

Dino Dodecahedron The easiest cornerturning dodecahedron. The name is taken from its hexahedral cousin.

Gear Dodecahedron A Gear Cube in shape of a dodecahedron.
Gigaminx The face turning dodecahedron with two layers per face. A Megaminx with an additional layer on each face.
MF8 Helicopter Dodecahedron This puzzle tries to reimplement the Helicopter Cube in a dodecahedral solid. A mass produced version followed one year later.

Pyraminx Crystal Essentially a Deeper cut megaminx at heart, the Pyraminx crystal adds a new twist to the classic puzzle.
Rex Dodecahedron The second mass produced cornerturning dodecahedron.
Skewb Ultimate (aka: Pyraminx Ball) A dodecahedron build up from a Skewb.

Starminx I A face turning dodecahedron. The cuts are deeper than in the Pyraminx Crystal.
Teraminx A three layered Megaminx. One of the most famous custom twisty puzzles before massproduction started.

4x4x4 Rhombic Dodecahedron 12-sided 4x4x4 variation with the shape of a catalan solid.

Eitan's Star (aka DeFTI) A Deeper Face-Turning Icosahedron. The short form of this gives the puzzle its name.

DaYan Gem VII A mass produced hybrid puzzle which combines face turning and edge turning hexahedron in a solid with 16 sides.
Tuttminx The puzzle is an extension of the Megaminx to a truncated icosahedron (soccerball or buckyball for the chemists). All 32 sides are rotatable.
