Five-layer pyraminx in pillowed tetrahedron shape.
Professor Pyraminx is a face- (or vertex-) turning tetrahedron with 5 independently turning layers. Starting from order 5, pillowed shape is necessary to let the central edge pieces not to be cut off (similarly to V-Cube 7). The shape is called a Reuleaux tetrahedron.
The first well-turning prototype was made in July 2010 and given to Uwe Meffert for evaluation during our meeting in Cologne, Germany. Meffert's positive decision about this puzzle brought the Professor Pyraminx in mass-production in half a year.
Edge length: 93 mm
Weight: 196 grams
