Recent Toys have been boxing Meffert's puzzles for retail sale for a while.
This Halpern-Meier pyramid (aka: HMT) is a late addition. Meffert bought the rights to the puzzle and produced various shape variants over the years.

The puzzle is sold in a symetrical unsolved state, reminding of the way that Square-1 was originally boxed. It also helps to differentiate this puzzle from the standard Pyraminx.
Inventor is shown on the box as Oskar (van Deventer). Unclear whether this is a mistake or whether Oskar had a hand in this version. The first HMT was made by Tony Fisher.
