A hybrid puzzle in the most appropriate shape of a truncated octahedron.
This puzzles has a hybrid axis system. It combines the face turning hexahedron with the corner turning hexahedron. The puzzles shape is a truncated octahedron. This shape fits very well for these types of movements since all face could be turned.
The first version was designed by Scott Bedard and afterwards printed by Clay and Eva. The puzzle's name back then was "Concept 11".
In 2011 mass production of this puzzle started under the name "DaYan Gem III" with limited runs of different body colours: blue, pink, transparent, ice blue and ice yellow.
