This is an octahedron with a hybrid axis system combining the 3x3x3 (or trajbers octahedron in this case) and the skewb (or skewb octahedron in this case. This is not he first puzzles with this axis system. Unlike the closest relatives, the Skewb 3x3x3 and the 3x3x3+Skewb the Hexagram Octahedron has only four piece types and is therefore less complex.
