A face turning octahedron in shape of a truncated tetrahedron (an archimedean solid) with non-equidistant cuts.
This is the mass produced cousin of the Master Tetraminx which has its own entry in the museum. The cutting depth are different and thereby make solving of the puzzle slightly different. The puzzle here has triplet of identical pieces. In Master Tetraminx all pieces are unique. If Gem 8 was a 2x2x2, the Master Tetraminx would be a 3x3x3 version of it.
It was produced in black, white, stickerless, ice pink and transparent.
