Above:Solved
Click a thumbnail to see its larger version and description.
The first face turning icosahedron with planar cuts.

The third entry in the series of puzzles called radiolarian. Since the Cornered radiolarian has just additional corner pieces it is ignored in this series. There this puzzle bears the alternative name Radiolarian II.
The prefix circo is a nod to Circogonia Icosahedra, the organism that inspired the Radiolarian name.
Piece type signature: DC2[F3 E3 T12 X9][F3 E3]
Edge length: 65 mm (identical to Radiolarian I)
Weight: 301 grams

An identical looking (although black) puzzle was designed and built by Bob Hearn but published 3 days later. Please refer to image 3.
Edge length: 53.3 mm

In 2011, MF8 announced that it would be mass producing a "rex dodecahedron", which is actually the dodecahedral equivalent of this puzzle.

In 2015 the icosahedral variant was published as mass produced version. See images 4-5. Please ignore the name "Eitan's Star" on the package. As MF8 has done for other puzzles they used the same package but put a different puzzle into it.
Edge length: 68 mm
Weight: 348 grams
