Gear Corner Turning Octahedron applies the idea of a Gear Pyraminx idea to an octahedral shape. In this design all gears have 8 teeth and the basement for middle layer has 20 teeth. Each move turns the edge gears by 3/8 turn and the corner gear by 1/8 turn. After 4 subsequent turns the puzzle restores its octahedral shape, the 5 pieces involved being flipped by 180°.

In 2013 a mass produced version hit the market.
