Redesign of the Rex Cube with larger centres and petals and additional stabilisation features.
This "Super Ivy" is a redesigned Rex Cube, and a good one at that.
The core is a compy cube just as in Andrew Cormier's original, but by shortening the radius of the spherical cuts the centres and petals are enlarged and are visually similar to the Ivy Cube.
The orientation of the centre and the pairs of petals on each face are not relevant to the solve, but these could be indicated with Pochmanm-style stickers as see on the "Super Ivy" from 2020, see the separate entry.
What distinguishes this redesign are the various features to stabilise the wider face pieces. The centre has Skewb-like ball-click mechanism, the edges extended from the compy core are contoured and floating hidden corners guide petals past each other and prevent popping.
The faces are coloured plastic clicked into black-bodies and so the familiar black-edging to pieces.
Edge length: 57 mm
Weight: 107 grams
