The Skewb modded into its dual polyhedron. Pieces with no visible orientation on the Skewb now have orientation on the Skewb Diamond, and vice versa. This puzzle is a deep cut face turning octahedron.
Piece type signature: HC1[F3 C4][F3]
Tony Fisher custom built the first sample of this puzzle in 1991 although he did not know about sketches and drawings which were made and published before.
The patent numbers given here refer to a patent which was granted to Ern� Rubik in 1982. As far as its known this patent never made it into a working version.
In 1999 Uwe Mefferts started to mass produce this puzzle.
