This is meant to be an enlarged version of the Color Cube puzzle, a 3x3 grid with eight cubes that are rolled from one field to the next.
This concept can be applied effortlessly to larger grids. In this case the inventor used the 6x6 grid of the Rubik's LINE UP and some cubes of some spare games.
