This was one of five new puzzles that Tony Fisher unveiled at the Dutch Cube Day held in Leiden on Sunday October 6, 2002.
In 2010 Uwe Meffert produced a batch of these under the name "Skewb Hex". This was the by-product of an assignment between the an UK-based rock band MUSE and Uwe Meffert because of which Meffert produced another batch of these with different stickers.
