The first Master Pyraminx to exists. Produced in the former Soviet Union in very small numbers.
In 1982 or 1983 Aleksandr Ordynets of Kishinev, Moldavia reinvented the Pyraminx (and the Tetraminx) and found a producer. It was a great success in former Soviet Union.
Then he proposed to manufacture the Master Pyraminx. The patent for this was applied for in 1983 and was granted in 1986. There was a sample production run of this pyramid. However, for whatever reason, the puzzle pieces that completely hang over proved themselves to be brittle, and broke a lot. So the production was stopped, and whatever was produced had been destroyed. Some pyramids of that run still got into hand of puzzle collectors who knew Ordynets personally.
