A corner turning hexahedron with four (no more!) logical layers.
This puzzle is a combination of the Skewb and the Compy Cube (shallow cut Dino Cube). It was conceived after a suggestion from Carl Hoff to make visible all internal parts of the Dino Skewb, also from Tom van der Zanden.
The puzzle looks like a cubic Elite Skewb but it only has four logical layers. The tips do not turn on their own, they are linked to the internal Skewb. This allows them to display both the internal Skewb's corner orientation and permutation. The tips are not trivial.
Piece type signature: HC3[F0 C0 C1 X3 T6 W6][C0 C1]
Edge length: 66 mm
Weight: 91 grams
In 2018 a similar puzzle hit the market. It is named "Seven cube" but includes trivial tips. See the separate entry.
