Yet another Tony Fisher masterpiece. The first fully functional irregular cuboid ever.

This cuboid was built around an Eastsheen 4x4x4. The puzzle was transformed entirely by hand using high impact polystyrene plastic sheet and the pieces are hollow so it's very light weight.
Like many cuboids which where made from NxNxN's it allows moves which would be impossible for shapes like this. Therefore it changes its shape. See image 3.
Size: 67 x 102 x 135 mm

Independent from this first version Katsuhiko Okamoto created a version 2005 under the name "Step-up Tower".
Size: 38 x 57 x 76 mm
Weight: 160 grams

Starting in 2012 a mass produced version is sold.
Size: 36 x 54 x 72 mm
Weight: 120 grams

When the mass produced version became available, there was a discussion about the definition of a "fully functional 2x3x4". The original designer Tony Fisher defines the term by reference to his design: The puzzle allows legal 90 degree turns of the 2x4 faces. After such a turn one half of the puzzle can be turned around two axes which go through the centre of the puzzle.

In 2010 Garrett Ong made another fully functional version available via Shapeways.
Size: 32 x 48 x 65 mm
Weight: 43 grams

Traiphum made a "semi fully functional version" which allows turns around one axis only whenever it is shape-shifted. There is a separate entry for this version.
