A spherical cousin of the Junior Cross cube. It comes with a wide variety of colour schemes.
A sphere which allows the moves of a 2x2x2 and six additional layers with four pieces each. Solvingwise this puzzle has several equivalents:

Lolo's Octahedron
The designers Aleksandr Marusenko and Felix Perez presented the puzzle during IPP29 (in San Francisco) and DCD 2008 (in Eindhoven) and sold some prototypes. Back then they announced the start of production for 2010. In 2011 it became commercially available.
The spheres come in five different levels of difficulty with ten colour schemes in five different levels. See the captions for each image.
The sphere has a diameter of ca. 80 mm and is lightweight. The pieces are neither stickered nor painted but made with the desired colour.
