Politechnika (later renamed into Politoys) is wellknown as the original producer of Rubik's Cube. Lesser known is that Politechnika also produced a large number (at least 39) of promotional cubes. These were sold in various blue packages known from that era.
The version shown here advertises for Interflug. This was the national airline of the former German Democratic Republic from 1963 to 1991. Based in East-Berlin (Berlin-Schönefeld).
The logo is shown on the white face piece.
It came in the german politoys package with Rubik's signature. It was customized with two stickers.
The year is unknown but 1983 is an upper bound.
