Politechnika (later renamed into Politoys) is wellknown as the original producer of Rubik's Cube. Lesser known is that Politechnika also produced a large number (at least 39) of promotional cubes. These were sold in various blue packages known from that era.
The version shown here advertises for Gépexport Budapest. Established in 1953 in Budapest as an autonomous department of the Ministry of Metallurgy and Machinery (KGM), called Gépexport Iroda (Gépexport Office). It became an independent company in 1968. The company was involved in bids, planning, supply, transport of goods, installation and repair for a wide variety of factories and laboratories.
The logo is visible on all the blue face piece.
There is no documented package.
The year is unknown but 1983 is an upper bound.
