Politechnika (later renamed into Politoys) is wellknown as the original producer of Rubik's Cube. Lesser known is that Politechnika also produced a large number (at least 39) of promotional cubes. These were sold in various blue packages known from that era.
The version shown here advertises for EGYT, which is an abbreviation of Egyes�lt Gy�gyszer �s T�pszergy�r (United Pharmaceutical and Supplement Factory). It was founded in 1950 in Budapest. Later, the state-owned company operated under the name United Pharmaceutical and Dietary Supplement Factory.
The logo is shown on the yellow face piece.
It came hungarian politoys package without Ern? Rubik's signature.
The year is unknown but 1983 is an upper bound.

There were also two other versions from the Politechnika era with hexagonal logos inscribed into all face pieces.
