Four parts (looking like a 3x3x3) connected into a single puzzle.

This is the second (the other being an 11x11x11) collaboration of Tony Fisher with another designer.
This puzzle implements an idea almost as old as Tony's Siamese Cube, from 1981! Since Tony found it impossible to implement this idea by hand he contacted Oskar van Deventer who came up with the final design. Several pieces were printed through the service of Shapeways. The rest was cast by Tony Fisher so he could sell some samples during the Dutch Cube Day 2011.
The stickering scheme guarantees that every cubie has only one correct position on the puzzle if global rotation is ignored. In addition this leads to a look as if four arbitrarily chosen 3x3x3 were forced into one puzzle.
Edge length: 43 mm (one cube)
Weight: 278 grams
