A truncated megaminx.
Here a megaminx was truncated at 6 edges. These edges have relative positions which give the new introduced faces the look of a cube. Hence its name. If the non truncated face were extended this would result in a Hexaminx.
Four years later Claus Wenicker was inspired by the Bowtie Skewb and recreated this variant unknowing its predecessor. He named his creation Bowtie Minx. A very similar is the Peanut Minx presented almost the same time, as the Bowtie Minx.
