A promotional cube from Politechnika. Advertising for the now defunct Electronic Measuring Devices Factory.

Politechnika (later renamed into Politoys) is wellknown as the original producer of Rubik's Cube. Lesser known is that Politechnika also produced a large number (at least 39) of promotional cubes. These were sold in various blue packages known from that era.
The version shown here advertises for EMG. EMG is an abbreviation of Elektronikus Mér?készülékek Gyára (Electronic Measuring Devices Factory). A spin-off off the company Orion in 1950. Temporarily located in Újpesti and later on in Sashalom (district of Budapest). In 1990, EMG was transformed into seven independent companies with majority ownership. The company produced several kinds of electronic measuring instruments, such as oscilloscopes, radio and ultra-frequency signal generators, microwave instruments, tachometers, medical examination devices etc.
The logo is shown on the blue face piece.
It came in the hungarian politoys package.
The year is unknown but 1983 is an upper bound.
