The puzzle is an extension of the Megaminx dodecahedron to a truncated icosahedron (soccerball or buckyball for the chemists) which is an archimedean solid.
There are 32 sides (20 hexagons and 12 pentagons). The pentagons allow turns of 72 degrees. The hexagons allow only turns of 120 degrees. There are 5 distinct external pieces. Total external pieces are 182.

The first version of this puzzle was custom build and published by Lee Tutt in 2005. The centre uses a Zome ball and the pentagon and triangle connectors to form the axis system. Formed in a two part polyurethane.
The dimensions of this first version are adjusted to give the pentagonal faces the exact measurements of the megaminx's faces.
In 2011 began mass production of a new version with permission of the original inventor.
Edge length: 23 mm
Diameter: 104 mm
Weight: 320 grams
Months later a second version with plane cuts was presented.
See images 5-6.
Weight: 360 grams
In 2016 a third version was presented, called New Tuttminx (image 11). Its package is shown in image 9-11.
In 2018 a limited edition (100 pieces) with purple transparent body hit the market. See image 12.
In 2018 another version called "Speed Tuttminx" with a distinct shape was mass produced. Its hexagonal faces and pentagonal faces have different sticker types: uniform and textured. It can also be called "Concave tuttminx". It came with black body.
In 2023, a white version of New Tuttminx hit the market in a limited quantity.
In 2023, limited editions of Speed Tuttminx were released: in transparent red, orange and blue, green and clear.
2016 New Version $34.00 USD DIY kit.
