A star-shaped build-up on the Dino Cube mechanism.
This puzzle has the shape of a stellated octahedron. As the name suggests it is equivalent to a Dino Cube.
It was produced with a wide variety of colours.
The patent of the puzzle was filed in 1982 which gave the year mentioned in this entry.
Image 4 shows a version handmade by community-member "Jesseking".

What you hold in your hand is a twisty puzzle witch can be rotate to 8 direction (?), holds more than 1 million combinations in itself.
With the rotation of the tips, the sides colour will change. The aim is to make the same circles in the sides.
