The Puzzle Advent Calendar is a collaboration between Youtubers and puzzlebuilders. David Gugl's entry for the calendar in 2020 was this wreath.
He used 2 megaminxes, one Kilominx and one Pyraminx Crystal and created four halfminxes which now serve as stands for the four candles.
On the other halves of the puzzle the builder removed a lot of material to make room for a small candle holder. 6 sides of the puzzle remain functional, so every puzzle (except for the 1x1x1) can be scrambled and solved.
The stickers are supposed to represent the seasons of the year, with the 1x1x1 halfminx being Spring.
These 4 puzzles were placed onto a Christmas wreath and equipped with LED candles.
In Austria it is a tradition to have a Christmas wreath on the living room table and lighting 1 candle on each advent sunday. The inventor tried to put my puzzling side onto this concept, so the rules are as follows:
1. Advent Sunday: Scramble all Puzzles, Light the candle from the 1x1x1 Minx
2. Advent Sunday: Solve Kilo-Halfminx and light the 2nd candle too.
3. Advent Sunday: Solve Mega-Halfminx and light the 3rd candle too.
4. Advent Sunday: Solve Pyraminc Crystal Halfminx and light the last candle.
