This is strange cross between Fisher 5x5x5 and the original 5x5x5. The top and bottom layers of the cube are unchanged. The middle three layers have been turned by 45 degrees and subsequently transformed back into cubic shape. The result is a cube that at first glance seems to be solved, an impression that is broken after reaching the true solved state, visible in image 2.
