This is a modification of the starminx with cutouts in the middle of the faces. These expose the inner pyraminx crystal and thereby adds two additional types of pieces.
In 2021 the designer presented a successor with curved cuts. This was part of the puzzle advent calendar 2021. See images 4-6.
