The Multi-Rex cube is a Rex cube with windows on the middle parts of the faces to expose the inner compy cube layer making for a more difficult solve. Similar to Gregoire Pfennigs Multi-Skewb just without the corners.
The sample shown here was designed in 2020 by Grant Anderson but two years earlier Ruben Dario Velez presented the same design on Instagram. Hence he is named as inventor.
