A one-layered prism with stored cuts that can be used only after 90°-turns.
This puzzle was inspired by David Pitcher's Fracture series of puzzles. The designer added the stored cuts to an already designed puzzle with a pentagon as a base. The name "splintered" of the puzzle is a nod to that inspiration.
Like the Fractured Prim, the top and bottom faces do not rotate. This means most turns are 180 degrees unless one properly aligns the stored cuts, at which point certain 90 turns become available and allow further scrambling of the puzzle. See images 4-5.
