There are many examples of puzzle which were modified with the help of pieces of LEGO. In this case the cubies themselves are outfitted with knobs for 2x2-plates. The package includes six differently coloured sets of 2x2-plates. It seems that the challenge is to create your own sticker patterns.
Unlike some other 3x3x3s that were modified with lego bricks they can't be easily bandaged because of the gaps between the tiles.
The puzzle was sold under at least three different names:
