Claims to be a tuttminx but has 42 faces instead of 32.

This puzzles does everything to be mistaken by another Tuttminx. It turns exactly like one would expect a Tuttminx to do as both the pentagons and hexagons have standard face turns. Similar to the Tuttminx, this puzzle also has a shapeshifting move. Unlike the Tuttminx, on this puzzle the move is completely legal.
The designer chose the core to be split into six pieces, and "snapped" them together with washers in the corners.
The big difference to a real Tuttminx is the geometry: The Tuttminx combines the turns of a face turning and a corner turning dodecahedron. This fake version combines the face turns and the edge turns of a dodecahedron. While the former has the shape of a truncated icosahedron this puzzle has the shape of a chamfered dodecahedron.
