This puzzle is a natural successor of the Mixup Kites which is a Mixup Cube shape transformed into a deltoidal icositetrahedron. This shape is "natural" for the Mixup Cube as it does not change during scrambling. Amazingly the same is true in this case when the inventor redesigned the "3x3x3 Mixup Plus Cube" in this shape.
This puzzle is built on top of an Eastsheen mini 2x2x2. The extensions have embedded magnets, which give the face turns a nice satisfying click. The proportions were designs so that the corners would not be significantly bigger than the central ring.
The puzzle is stickered in 12 colors, opposite faces same color. This means all the 3-colored and 4-colored corner pieces are unique, but the 2-colored edge pieces come in pairs.
