The earliest face turning dodecahedron.

The Supernova is the first patented variant of the dodecahedron puzzle more commonly known as the Megaminx. It is approximately 31 mm along an edge.
Meffert's released the Megaminx shortly after the Supernova.
The variant with twelve colours is more often seen. The colours are: Silver, Green, Yellow, Orange, Beige, Dark Brown, Golden, White, Blue, Light Brown, Red, Dark Orange.
There exist some sample with white bodies. These have 6 colours painted directly onto the body and with non-removed mold marks.
The french version (see images 4-5) was named "le diamant".

No later than 2020 a version "Rubiks Megaminx" from Rubik's Studio hit the market. See image 12.
