Probably the most sought after of all Twisty Puzzles which went in mass production.
This puzzle is an icosahedron (20 sides). Each face consists of 3 large triangles and 3 small triangles. The 5 faces rotate on the point where they join, also the five small triangles at each point can also rotate. The puzzle is a surface rotation puzzle rather than being deeply cut like the theoretical Pentultimate puzzle.

The original Dogics were produced with 12 colors. In the original production run there were a few samples with 10 colors and NO samples with 20 colors as the creators deemed those colors to similar to each other.
The Dogic molds were purchased by Uwe Meffert who did another prodution run creating 2, 5, 10, 12 and 20 color versions. Mefferts version of Dogic I uses similar colors to the original, but not as saturated and with white replacing maroon. Please refer to image 7.

In 2019 Michael Sun redesigned the puzzle for 3D printing. This is maybe the first puzzle that was first mass produced and subsequently customly printed. This tells you everything about the status of this puzzle in the community. It has an improved mechanism that allows for better turning, but it has the same number of pieces as the original. Please refer to images 9-10.
Diameter (outer): 105 mm
Weight: 220 grams
