In solved state this puzzle looks like a reimplemented Trix but instead it works like a shape transformation of the 3x3x3.

The inventor first presented this puzzle during IPP 37 in Paris.
It's an "ivy cut" rhombic dodecahedron. It is very similar the beautiful Trix puzzle by Galen Ivanov (see the separate entry), but with the Ivy Dodec the inventor moved the slices deeper, and the puzzle turns on the four-way corners instead of the three-way corners. When he was playing with his copy of Eitan's Ivy Cube, he realized that it was ambiguous as to what depth the slices are. They could be interpreted as shallower or deeper. So for this puzzle (and the rest of the puzzles in this series), he has decided to go with the deeper cut interpretation.
