This is a two layer pentagonal prism, but unlike its predecessor the cuts are slightly deeper, making the face pattern a perfect star. It is somewhat analogous to both a Domino (star faces) and a 2x2x2 (square faces).
The inventor 3D printed it on his printer. Unlike most puzzles, the tiles on the Baby Starprism are also 3D printed.
