The earliest known sample of this puzzle was made by Tony Fisher in the late 1990s. This sets the upper limit given as original year for this entry. During the early ages of twistypuzzles.com (around 2000) building this puzzle was kind of the top achievement in puzzle building. Wayne Johnson, Ton Dennenbroek and Geert Hellings wrote articles about their methods to built these or related puzzles. Links
