The inventor kept the N�n L� Cube hidden for some two years due to mechanical issues until he presented it in June 2016. A short while later in August, a second version was presented that fixed the problem.
The puzzle was made using both 3D printing and molding/casting. It is a combined deep/shallow cut edge turning cube that implements two different types of turns:
- Two cuts like in the Little Chop
- Four cuts in the fashion of a Curvy Copter II
The cube jumbles at the same angle as a Helicopter Cube when the shallow cuts are partially turned.

Given the cuts it has the axis system of an edge turning hexahedron. Its mechanism is not classified as such but as "Unique" because of the different cutting depth. Unlike the F-Skewb (a corner turning hexahedron with different cutting depth) the axis system is not well-suited for this asymmetry.
