A CADed relative of the "The Orb" with three rows of marbles instead of four.
This puzzle is a lower order version of the vintage Parker Brothers puzzle "The Orb". Instead of 4 tracks of beads, it has 3 tracks. It is 3d printed in Nylon and polyJet resin, and then plated with copper.
The beads are harvested from a sacrificial puzzle bought on ebay.
The rows of beads have 8-16-8 beads. The number of beads are dictated by the geometry, and the fact that the smallest rows have 8 beads.
Instead of the 3 midway positions the original orb can stop in, there are 2 midway positions. Unlike the original Orb there is no halfway position.
Image 4 shows the whole series of Orb-puzzles of four different sizes.
