The puzzles concept is rather self-explanatory. The cuts are rotated around a face so that they go through the edges of the cube. This puzzle was made to have no mirrored parts, which makes the layers offset and also makes the puzzle much more difficult to solve.
Another side effect: The puzzle is solved in midturn, as only the top and bottom layers can be rotated in the solved position.
