This is an enhanced 4x4x4. The inventor designed special edge pieces which he split up to allow a new type of moves. If the surrounding layers are moved out of way the edge pieces can be exchanged by rotation just like in Zygmunt's Cube, a hybrid puzzle combining face and edge turning cube. In addition to Zygmunt's Cube the two pieces can be rotated by 90° and then a slice move can be made to separate the pieces.
