This puzzle is created by fusing a layer of cubies onto two opposites sides of a standard 3x3x3. The resulting puzzle still functions as a 3x3x3, but looks far more interesting.

Disassembly is almost the same as any other 3x3x3 puzzle. Twist a 5x3 outer slice 45°, then carefully pry up one of the two edge pieces that doesn't have any attachments on it.

A mass produced version was also available starting in 2009.
