A shape modification to a 2x2x4 cuboid. It resembles the arch enemy of Dr. Who.

This is a shape modification to a Rubik's brand 2x2x4 cuboid in the form of the arch enemy of Dr. Who, a Dalek. The basic design of the Dalek was split into many parts (as shown in the image) so that they could be coloured individually, using either Rit dye or metallic ink pen, to produce the final colour scheme. The parts were glued onto the donor 2x2x4, but because the basic geometry of the Dalek is more suited to a 2x2x3, the two middle slices are bandaged together by the add-on pieces.

To avoid splitting the "head" in half along where the "eye" stalk is placed, it is angled slightly to one side when in the solved state.

So the puzzle can be manipulated more easily, all of the "appendages" are removable, to stop the otherwise inevitable breakages of these thin parts.
