A Twist Ball truncated to become an "open" puzzle.

The Twist Ball is probably the most suitable puzzle ever for making an "open" version. The designer first removed one 'side' of a Flower Ball patterned Twist Ball and used the triangular part to make three buffers to fill in the gaps on the newly created rim. Tony then used stickers to colour the inside including the black area. In theory it's possible to actually remove the black areas making it even more open (or void) but possibly it may become too weak. The original outer colours were removed with 600 grit wet and dry paper plus 1200 grit to regain smoothness.
