The third puzzle named "Brainstring". A minimal twist with elastic string within it.
After there first successful led to Brainstring Advanced Guido Lap (inventor of the Brainstring) and Oskar van Deventer (inventor of Minimal Twist) threw their concepts into a single new puzzle: Brainstring R.
The result uses the mechanism of Minimal Twist. The square pieces received windows made from out of transparent plastic. The triangles received parts coloured in the same colour as the ropes attached to these pieces within the puzzle.
Mixing up and solving the puzzle is focused on the ropes inside which become knotted while the puzzle is twisted. The coloured triangular pieces can be solved with at most one twist.
