For this puzzle a Pyraminx was truncated into an octaminx which was afterwards extended into this solid. Without the holes this solid would be a truncated tetrahedron, an archimedean solid.
There were suggestions to sticker the faces inside the holes as well but st showed that stickers there will be pealed of again very quickly.
An alternative way to build this puzzle would be to truncate a cubominx which is another custom made puzzle. Seems like there is no way to build this directly from a pyraminx.
Please note that a true Halper-Meier Tetrahedron is made from a skewb, not a pyraminx.
