A face turning octahedron with six layers.

As the 7x7x7 can't be fully proportional, there is a similar limit for the face turning octahedrons. The designer's goal for this puzzle was to make the all the cuts along the edges fully proportional. In order to achieve that, he added a curve on the outer most cut to give room and allow the outer most corners to be properly secured. The amount of curve on this puzzle also resulted in one additional piece type on each side that wouldn't exist if all the cuts were straight.
Edge length: 99 mm
