This puzzle is a 3x3x4 cuboid modified like the Zock Cube. That means two opposing sides were turned by 90° and the resulting puzzle was truncated into a cube.
To scramble the puzzle the two sides have to be turned again by 90°. The slots in two of the faces were a result of the modification but the designer decided to retain them.
