The first version of this puzzle produced by Uwe Meffert.
Uwe Meffert published a cardboard mockup of this puzzle in his catalogue "PYRAMINX" from 1982. The "cuts" in that puzzle were shallower and the puzzle was named "Pyraminx Magic Dodecahedron".
