This was made from a mass produced black plastic Petaminx puzzle. Unusually there are stickers on the inside as well as the outside. It's solved state requires the correct arrangement of both sets.
One will notice from the images that the outside is not fully stickered. This is because those are the parts of the puzzle that extend fully to the core and the ones that are now stickered on the inside. They are the corners and middle edges. Centres are not relevant to the solving so they were stickered where possible both inside and out.
Solvingwise the puzzle is equivalent to a bandaged Petaminx which only allows movement on three adjacent sides (around one corner). However having this type of stickering means one has to keep checking inside and out which will certainly add to the frustration.
If the outside is totally ignored and the solver just concentrates on the inside then the puzzle is equivalent to my Triamese Void Pentagons Puzzle or a bandaged Megaminx.
This is the fourth of Tonys puzzles with the concept of revealing the puzzles interior while restricting the movements.
The first three were 6x6x6 V-Dome, 7x7x7 Open Bandageand Open Gigaminx.
